On behalf of the Supreme Grand Royal & Exalted Matron and the Supreme Officers of this Supreme Grand Court we will continue to strengthen our teachings of the lessons of Truth, Faith, Wisdom and Charity. Honored Ladies, as with the leaves of the Amaranth plant being indicative of distinction and honor when formed into the “Amaranthine Wreath” with its never ending circle, so will our bond of fraternal friendship with its principal objects being fraternal, social and charitable.

The Original Supreme Grand Court, Royal & Exalted Order of Amaranth of the United States of America working under The Original Supreme Grand Lodge of Perfection, Ancient Free and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry for the Southern and Western Masonic Jurisdiction of the United States of America, Grand Orient, Washington, D.C.The Supreme Grand Court of the Royal & Exalted Order of Amaranth was organized on August 1, 1956 by the Most Puissant Sovereign Grand Commander, the Honorable H.B. Turner, 330of Houston, Texas, during the 68th Biennial Session of the United Supreme Council of Sovereign Grand Inspector Generals of the 33rd and Last Degree of Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry for the Southern and Western Masonic Jurisdiction of the United States of American, Inc.
The first elected Supreme Thrice Puissant Grand Master was the Honorable J.S. Pough, 330, Most Worshipful Grand Master from the State of California, who served from 1956 to 1976. The first elected Supreme Grand Royal & Exalted Matron was Lady M.L. Dockery from Houston, Texas who served from 1956 to 1966. In July of 1990, the 85th Biennial Supreme Session was held at the Marriott Greentree Hotel in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania it was approved by The Original General Grand Masonic Congress of Grand Masters that the word "United" be dropped and the word "Original" be added to all Affiliated Departments, whereby removing us from under the umbrella of the United Supreme Council.
On July 28, 1992 during the 86th Biennial Supreme Session held at the Bismarck Hotel in Chicago, Illinois, a Certificate of Amendment was presented to the Supreme Grand Court, Royal & Exalted Order of Amaranth substantiating the word "Original" to its name. The following Officers were elected and installed.
